Sydney
Sydney is our Australian Cattle Dog. We got her in July 2003 when she was barely five weeks old. Her birthday is June 18, 2003. She is about 35 pounds of solid muscle and energy, and she keeps us very active in our never-ending attempt to tire her out. We have gone through obedience classes from Puppy Training to Clicker Trick to Advanced Obedience (No, not advanced jumping and enthusiastic greeting, but you would think we had). She is happiest when she has a "job" to do.
She loves the beach and chasing her ball in the waves. She is far from a champion swimmer, but works really hard at it,and she bounces off the bottom really well. Our next goal is to teach her directions by pointing so she can find her ball without us charging in after them on, say half, the throws she manages to lose sight of in her excitement to get in the water.
She is remarkably curious and keeps us laughing all the time. Click here for some of our pictures.
